New Disney Wish Cinderella Cruise Ship Being Called A "Castle On The Sea"
Cruise lines are among the many businesses in the entertainment and tourism industry that have taken a huge hit at the hands of the pandemic. It seems that Disney has used this down-time wisely though, as the unveiling of their brand new, appropriately-themed cruise ship is scheduled for the summer of 2022. Yahoo reports they have diligently been working away at creating a floating masterpiece that will forever change the landscape of tourism, and will truly make it feel like a magical, enchanted experience. The vessel, named the Disney Wish, is being built to resemble Cinderella's castle.
This castle on the water is one of epic proportions, and of course, staying true to the spirit of Disney, it's being marketed as the place where everyone's wishes can come true. This elaborately, ornately decorated ship is going to transform the experience of each guest, making magic happen at every turn, and ensuring everyone feels as thought they're truly living in Cinderella's castle.
This 144,000-gt ship is the very first of Disney's vessels that will be powered by Liquified Natural Gas, and the details of this technology, along with further details about the ship's architectural designs will be revealed in a media release on April 29th.
Leaked information reveals that one of the most elaborate, and beautifully created masterpieces that has been crafted within the architecture of this ship, happens to be placed at the stern. The stern of this boat features a massive version of Rapunzel, suspended over the edge.
The enchanted experience begins in the great hall, where each guest is greeted and immediately wowed by the feeling that they've truly just entered Cinderella's storybook.
Orlando Sentinal goes on to detail some of the charming features that the Disney Wish will boast. "The carpeting there will have icons from the film. Her carriage and glass slipper are worked into the metalwork and light fixtures. Railings will have pumpkins and stained glass in Cinderella’s signature colors."
Explica states that the hall; "will be adorned with columns, a large central staircase and a statue of Cinderella that will transport travelers to a fairy tale."
Cinderella's castle is the centralized theme of the Disney Wish, but of course, other Disney fairytales will also be featured within the vessel. There will be many characters and storybook references to appeal to children of all ages, including marked references to Star Wars, Pixar, and even Marvel.
Minnie Mouse is prominently featured, as well. She is considered to be the "captain" of the ship and will be appropriately commemorated.
